I knew Mike quite well from our years together at Adams-Friendship High School - we were in band together and he was one the nicest, friendliest and funnest people I had ever known. He hung out with my younger brother Jim and spent a lot of time at our house behind the Friendship IGA, with his big old green car parked out in front. My mother loved him and treated him like one of the family. I missed most of the recent class reunions due to health reasons but he was at the top of the list of people I wanted to talk to at the 50th reunion in three years. He was quite the character and he will be deeply missed.
