Condolences for

Rachel, Just wanted to offer my condolences to you and your family during your time of loss. It sounds like your mother was quite a unique lady and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Donna was a neat lady with her own idea of how things should be done - for instance all parties need to have invitations and a person at the door to check them off the list, this rule would apply even to high school students. I don't recall ever hearing Donna call Dick by his name, she always called him Tucker. I had lots of good times at the Crown Cafe on 16th Street. Donna loved her girls and was very proud of Rachel and Jean Ellen. I appreciate how Donna would welcome me to stop in and sit down and chat even if Rachel wasn't home. I am glad I had a chance to get to know Donna.

I did not know Donna as well as I would have liked to have known her, but... I did know her, and I was blessed to know her. She had a special moxie that... as I've grown older, I find rare- she was honest and intimate in her conversations-- she was thoughtful, witty, funny, and intelligent (much like her children). She was involved and gave to her communities. May your new habitation find you to smile, and find exponential delight! My wish for you envisions your most perfect day you ever knew on earth but MORE! You will be missed, but you are forever appreciated and your legacy lives on in your children. Peace and love to you and your surviving family. Thanks Donna for your graciousness and kindness! I'm glad that you were a part of my life!

Donna was always so nice to me whenever I came to the Tucker home (which was often). She was an incredible story-teller. Her tales about the Memphis Opera were hyterical. The "Norwegian bachelor farmer" stories were pretty epic too. And her tales of life with "the Colonel" were beyond priceless. Donna, you were a delight, a treasure and my life is a lot more colorful for your having been a part of it. Say "Hi" to Dick for me. Jean and Rachel, I'm beyond sad and sorry for your loss. Know that you are both in my thoughts and prayers.
