Condolences for

My thoughts and prayers are with Steve and Stan, their families, and friends of Dorothy. I just learned the sad news about her passing. My father (Angus Berg) and Bill became lifelong friends while they were students at the University of Wisocnsin (Madison) in the 19030's. They both married in the early 1940's, and our families created many wonderful memories together through the years. Bill and Dorothy were a great couple! I always thought Dorothy was the epitome of graciousness. As others have mentioned in their condolences, she had an infectious laugh and was so much fun to be around. In my periodic conversations with Dorothy the past several years, she always enthusiastically shared news about Stan and Steve and their families - especially about the grandchildren and greatchildren. She obviously had boundless love for her family. Thanks for the unforgettable memories, Dorothy. Rest in peace. Judith Kirkhorn (daughter of Betty and Angus Berg)

To the family of Dorothy - and my friend Amanda, growing up I always thought that I was related to Bill and Dorothy - as they lived in Bangor and were friends with my parents. My mom has shared great memories of the Kentucky Derby's that were attended by the four of them and I think others. Now working in GI at Gundersen I got to be friends with Amanda Byom and one day I cared for Dorothy and the connection was made - about Dorothy and Bill and my parents - I always knew there was something special about their friendship and I liked Amanda from the start of my days in GI. I am sending my condolences to all of you and hoping that your wonderful memories of your mom, grandmother and friend will help you thru the days and weeks ahead. Thinking of you - Diane

Grama Dorothy. Two very distinct memories come to me when I think of her. The first being she was the first woman I personally knew who wore a wig! I found it to be so amazing that she wore that wig so loud and proud! I thought for sure people would point and laugh or giggle... but nope. There she was, so pretty in her wig. Who knew? The second was her laugh. Whenever I got to see her she was happy and laughing. Well, laughter is a constant in the Losey Sprehn home, but hers was such a HAPPY laugh. You truly felt happy when she laughed. A joyful noise will be sadly missed... yet heaven now is all the more blessed, Dardy

So sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. Dorothy and Bill spent many happy winters with my parents, Spencer and Lorraine Lutz of Melrose. Mom is at Pinview in Black River Falls - she is 90. We bought Bill's 1972 Buick Skylark convertible from Bill in 1982. We still have the car and enjoy summer rides. We have many fun memories with your parents and will charish them forever. Our condolences to the Sprehn family. John, Billie, Jesi and Jamie Theobald Holmen, WI
