To live in the hearts and minds of those we leave behind

Let us help get you started

Condolences for

We send to Donna's entire family our sincere sympathy. We have lived next door to Donna for the past 20+ years. She was always a quiet neighbor and we enjoyed our many short visits - mainly when she was outside with her Duke. We will miss seeing them both. We hope that all the happy memories you have of her brings you much comfort and joy.

MY HEART BREAKS TO HEAR OF THE PASSING OF THIS LOVING WOMAN OF GOD & MOTHER/MENTOR OF SOOOO MANY DELIGHTFUL PEOPLE/PERSONS/FAMILY UP IN LACROSSE, SHE WAS ALWAYS NUTURING OF ME AND WAS DELIGHTED TO SPEND TIME W/ ANY MEMBER OF MY FAMILY-- "WILD" AS WE WERE. SHE RELISHED HER ALONE TIME W/ MY PARENTS WHEN WE'D VISIT. MY DAD ALWAYS SAID HE WAS ADOPTED BY THE SHISLER CLAN WHEN HE MARRIED MY MOM AND HARVEY AND IDA'S GIRLS WERE THE EASIEST TO TALK WITH WHEN REGARDING MY MOM {RUTH MAE (SHISLER)GRONBECK}. SHE LAST VISITED FALL 2007 W/ ME AND WE ENJOYED THE INDIVIDUAL COMPANY OF DONNA, NITA, ERNIE AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS FROM DIFFERENT FAMILY SIDES; SEE STILL TALKS OF THAT WONDERFUL TIME SHE LAST WAS FACE TO FACE W/ DONNA AND ALSO NITA, SHE MISSES THEM TERRIBLY. THE SHISHLER FAMILY HAS A REAL PROFOUND AND WONDERFUL IMPACT ON PEOPLE THAT NEVER LEAVES YOU ONCE YOU'VE MET 'EM. I'M VERY HONORED TO HAVE HAD DONNA IN MY PATH IN LIFE AND MY MOM, AS W/ NITA AND NOW AGAIN W/DONNA FEELS SHE HAS LOST A SISTER. MY GOD BLESS HER SOUL & WATCH OVER THE SHISHLER,STINSON,& WITTE FAMILIES, YOU SHALL ALL BE IN OUR PRAYERS. LOVE, LISA G....

I am so sorry for your loss. Donna was a wonderful and special person. She and I would chat at the end of the day at Dairyland. I always looked forward to seeing her! I've missed her these years after she retired but am so glad she had many retirement years to enjoy. We once bought parakeets from Donna at Christmas time. I did not know she wrote poetry. Donna touched a lot of lives and will be sadly missed, but celebrated as the wonderful person she was. My condolences to you all.
