To live in the hearts and minds of those we leave behind

Let us help get you started

Condolences for

I remember this gentile man, very caring, very loving of his wonderful family. He always made me feel a part of his family as I was going through a very difficult time with mine. I feel honored to have known him. He always had something funny to say and it'd make me feel at ease to be around him and his loving family. I only wished things would have worked out for "us". We lost a wonderful person. An indivudal who was caring, compassionate, loving and always had a heart for family. Bill was a friend to many and everywhere he went and everything he did was a good thing. We pray for the family and that they can celebrate the happiness and joy that was brought into this family.

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was such a nice man! I enjoyed working with him in cardiac rehab and also sharing our Caledonia connection stories! God bless you during this difficult time.

Irene and family, I wish to extend my sincere sympathy to you on Bill's passing. I am the son of Ron and Dorothy Christianson and my Grandmother was Anna (Gilardi) Steinmetz. One year at a family reunion in Eau Claire, Bill and Al cornered my Dad and I. They asked if we would like to sneek-out and go to Chippewa Falls to an old car show for a while. Lots of stories and such were exchanged - it was a wonderful time. We somehow made it back to the reunion before it ended. My fondest and most recent memory of Bill was at my father's funeral last November. Even though our conversation lasted only a few minutes, Bill's compassion and concern were immediately evident through his extended handshake and kind words. It's hard to describe how Bill made that moment so special - something I hope to never forget. Jeff, Kate and Lauren Christianson

To Irene and the entire Belling family we offer our most heartfelt condolences. We pray for Bill and know that he is at home with the Lord. I remember Bill visiting us on several occasions. He, Al and my Dad, Henry, would spend many hours wandering around the Back to the 50's car event in the Twin Cities. Each man had his own vision of what the most attractive car was. When one would stop to admire one, the other two would grouse about what the first saw in a particular car. But Bill had a vision - and he lovingly created that vision in his own cars. I always looked forward to visiting LaCrosse and seeing what Bill's most recent project was. I cherish the times that I spent with Bill, Irene and all of my dear cousins. I know that if the Lord has car trouble, he just got a very good man.

Dear Family, I cannot imagine the loss you must feel. In the few times I have been in Bill's presense, he emulated love, acceptance, joy of life, humor, respect and interest for me and my family. This lasting impression has warmed my heart over the years and made me proud to be a part of the "Gilardi Clan". I saw the same kindness in Bill's face that I remember of Aunt Matilda. I so wish that I could be with you today, but know that you will have the love and support of many. I am so glad that Mom and I visited Bill and Irene last month. He was still his sweet self, but it was evident that he was ready to give up the physical sufferings of this world. I am so happy for him in the sense that he is in a better place, especially knowing that he lived his life so well all the way to the end. He has set a high standard example for us all in life and in death. I am comforted to see Bill smiling and sending God's blessings to us from Heaven above. Sincerely and with love, I look forward to seeing you all at the reunion in September.
