Dear Roseanne and Family, Amy wrote me yesterday to give me this sad news. My sympathy to you and to your dear family. I have read some of the condolence notes and obituary and he sounds as though he was quite a man!! I am sure he will be missed. Know that I am thinking about you, your children, and grandchildren! How blessed you are to have them and so many surviving siblings as well. Sincerely and with love, Jan

We are so sorry to hear that Uncle Leo passed. He was a special person and a great inspriation to our family. When we would get to see him he always had a hug and wanted to know what we have been up to. I thought it was special how he had a nickname for each of his kids. I regret that I did not get to see him when he was in Wichita last. But I will see him again with the rest of the loved ones we have lost. To my Aunt Doris and family, May God put his arms around you with his love and grace and give you peace at this time. Sending Condolences from the rest of the family, Gary Mashak, Alan Mashak and Family, Shirly Bosley and Family, Martin Mashak and Family, Marilyn Butry and Family, Ruth Mendez and Family and Pam Alexander and Family. From Earl's Family in Kansas and Arkansas. We love you all.

I would like to offer my sympathies to the Mashak Family. When I think of Leo, a smile & great memories come to me,not only from the days with the Bangor Baseball Team but more so Leo's Love for the Game of Baseball. You can not measure the good things he did for the sport that allowed so many to enjoy and even do some pretty special things. The Stories are endless. Once, Leo said he was going to give my Wife & I a Anniversary Gift that we should come out to Bangor for the Evening. I convinced my wife and off we went thinking how nice Leo was. Well, it turned out to be "Donkey Baseball". Let's just say, my wife was not to happy. I still laugh about that today. I considered Leo a good friend, one with a sense of caring that you enjoyed to be around. Good people do good things, Leo did so many, there is no way to count. May the days ahead ease your loss and bring back memories that bring you a smile as they do me.

I remember Leo for his congratulation expressions that he would send us for my birthday and for our anniversaries. Leo loved baseball and so did my husband, Chuck. He was a classmate of mine many years ago in St. Peters School and he never forgot our friendship. My sympathy to all of you, his family. May God bless him and may he rest in peace. Sincerely Malinda Flock

To the Mashak family: My deepest sympathy is extended to all of you at this difficult time. Leo was truly a joy to care for, and, seeing how much love all of you had for him, was inspiring to me. I will think of him often as I watch our beloved Cardinals! God bless and know that Leo and your family will be in my family's thoughts and prayers.

Leo- St. Mary's Saturday Evening Mass and Rosary Club will miss you greatly. Your passion for life and for your religion set such a great example for all us. I admired your warm, friendly manner with every one in church and despite caring around a cane- helping set up the wine and water for Mass. Personally, i miss you acting as prompter when i would say the rosary- so i will - in your memory - concentrate only on the rosary. Leo- May your memory be eternal!
