To live in the hearts and minds of those we leave behind

Let us help get you started

Condolences for

Dearest Martha & Family, Please know that you, your mom, your sisters & Ed & the kids are in my prayers. Your father made such a difference in so many kids lives, but especially in your lives. His physical struggles are over, which is a release for all of you. The sadness of losing him, in time, will turn into a forever hug in your hearts. We pass through this life to love and we all know that you all shared lots of that. Much love to you, as you grieve. ~Karen Dunn

My prayers are with you at this time of loss. I was just going through my jewelry box the other day and found a ring I made in middle school shop. I do believe that was the only successful project I ever completed in shop and I know that it was due to Mr. Austin's unyielding guidance and patience. May your fond memories bring you comfort today and in the days to follow.

I was sorry to have heard of Everett's passing. Eventhough we had not touched base for a long time I considered everett a real good friend. Our acquaintance went back to the days of Winona State College. Those times were always enjoyable. He will be missed very much. Thinking of you Marilyn, girls, & families during this time in the loss of you husband, father, & grandfather. Dave & Adam enjoyed Everett as a teacher. May you find comfort in knowing you are in our thoughts/prayers.

A very sad note was struck when we learned of Everett's passing. Although the news was not unexpected, it affected us deeply. It seems like Everett has been a part of our family and part of our conversation forever. In our very first meeting back in the mid-seventies, we talked with Everett about the S 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of Section 34 in Prebble Township. That is where my great grandfather, Jacob Stennes, homesteaded in 1856 when he came over from Norway. A couple years later when we traveled to Fillmore County, Everett took us to those 80 acres and he seemed to enjoy every moment while escorting us around the countryside. We fondly recall our times with Everett, Marilyn, and their daughters: the lefse-making at our house in Des Moines, the 20 below zero wedding reception for Darlene in George when your family stayed at our house, and the many holiday gatherings thereafter. May he rest in peace.

Marilyn and family, I will forever cherish the memory of Ev as a hunting buddy during deer season. Everett was a wonderful person and it was a privilege to have known him. We can all try to be like Ev in our daily lives and our enthusiasm for our outdoor sports traditions. He was a great role model for the young guys in our hunting party. Jeff Pladson Moorhead

My heart sank when I heard of your passing, but just as quickly, memories of our many conversations made my heart smile! Much love to you Everett, you were the best!
