What a beautiful person. Always quick to smile and take care of the people around you. You brought many years of happiness to my brother (to which I am eternally grateful) and saying that you've been such a great mom to your kids seems like such a simple statement. But I have a feeling you'd know it's high praise. Austin and McKenna are a testament to your love, attention and caring nature. You were also such a talented artist, each year busy with more and more beautiful paintings - large and small. You brought a lot of beauty to people's lives for many years to come. You will live on with countless pictures hanging year round and each & every Christmas with all of your ornaments paying tribute to you. You deserved so many more happy years. Such a sweetie; a caring and loving soul with a beautiful smile: Diane, you were loved. ~ Ann

I remember first meeting Diane in April 1998. It was my first trip up to WI after meeting Ann and she took me up to LaCrosse to meet Joe and Diane. I remember so clearly sitting outside in the back yard of their old house, swinging in the small swing they hard set up, watching Austin, still a toddler, wander around. Dee was extremely welcoming and very happy to have me join her family. I remember her kind and generous nature and thinking 'Wow, I could really like this family'. I was right. She was always an excellent party host for Thanksgiving. The food she cooked was always tasty and made me feel right at home. She was Thanksgiving to me. I will always treasure those moments. Goodbye Dee, I will miss you. Love Rachel
