Dear Mrs. Kelley and Karen, I am so sorry to hear about Karl. Although I hadn't seen him in years and we kind of lost track of each other as we both moved around the country, today I thought about how we would watch cartoons and hike the bluffs as little boys. Also remembered eating lunch at your house with Kim, Karen, Mr. Kelley and Karl (first time I ever had a Braunschweiger sandwich), Cub Scouts, drum corps, playing football on the Coulee Bank lawn. Years later he came to visit me in Florida and we went to the Keys scuba diving and tarpon fishing. I believe that is the last time I spent time with him. I have had to deal with my own demons and I kind of secluded myself from the world as I finally dealt with them. I have wonderful childhood memories of our neighborhood, and all the adventures I had with Karl and the rest of the gang. I wish you strength during this sad time. Peter Foley

Dear Karen and family. I am sorry for your loss. I met your brother in the late 70s. He had a zest for life and bypassing barriers that would hinder what he set out to do. I hope that you are able to feel blessed for the life you shared with him despite the grief you must be feeling now. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
