Condolences for

I knew Doris for quite some time. I met her at the mall where she was always shopping. I just found out of her passing and wish my condolences to the family.

I had the privledge to meet Doris at the Sterling House Assisted Living Center while doing pet therapy. My little dog, Sammie, and I always looked forward to our visits with Doris. She was a delighful person who was so sweet and kind. She was so classy and yet so unpretentious and fun to be with. Like my doggie, Sammie, I took a special liking to Doris. She was a beautiful lady and person. I feel blessed to have known Doris. She was an inspiration for all.

I met Doris at the Sterling House Assisted Living Center while doing pet therapy. My little dog, Sammie, and I loved visiting Doris. She was such a delightful person - classy, down to earth and fun too!! Like my doggie, Sammie, I took a special liking to Doris. She was such a beautiful lady and person. I loved her sense of humor and must admit that she has left a permenant imprint on my heart. I am blessed to have known Doris. She was an inspiration for all.

Doris was a real lady -- kind, generous with a good sense of humor. I graduated from Central High School with Doris and had the privilege to keep in contact with her through the years. After graduating, some of the female classmates organized a monthly luncheon party where we met at various restaurants in the area. I recall Doris would bring us a treat of Fanny Farmer candy to top our meal. This summer after a luncheon meeting we decided to visit Doris and another classmate Audrey. There was Doris, all smiles! She was as beautiful as ever and I complimented her on her still lovely hair. Another classmate purchased a delicious rubbard pie that we shared. It was an enjoyable time and I treasure the memory! Doris always spoke of the love of her life Jack. Blessings to a fine lady who has earned her place in heaven.

Our Deepest sympathies on the passing of Doris. She was a wonderful person; gracious, beautiful, generous with a great sense of humor. It was our pleasure knowing her. We hope memories of many, many good times shared will sustain her family and friends during this difficult time.

AUNT DORIS WAS A TRUE ESTE LAUDER WOMEN, NOT A HAIR OUT OF PLACE! SHE ALWAYS, ALWAYS LOOKED LIKE A MILLION BUCKS. THE LITTLE LADY ALSO HAD A CUTE SENSE OF HUMOR. ONE TIME I SAW HER @ A GROCERY STORE WHEN I WAS IN TOWN ON A VISIT, & SAID TO JEANNE AMBER, OH LOOK THERE'S AUNT DORIS, I THINK I'LL GO GOOSE HER. SO I DID & SHE WHIPPED AROUND & WAS READY TO WHACK ME WITH HER PURSE! I SAID HI AUNT DORIS & SHE SMILED AS SHE LOWERED HER PURSE & SAID I THOUGHT A GOOD LOOKING YOUNG BUCK WAS PINCHING MY BUTT! AUNT DORIS MAY HAVE BEEN A SMALL PETITE LADY, BUT SHE HAD A HUGH HEART, A GENTLE SPIRIT & A KIND SOUL! RIP AUNT DORIS RIP!

My dear Aunt Doris was a gracious and delightful lady who always made us smile and always made each of us feel cherished by her. Before she and Uncle Jack moved back to LaCrosse, every time they visited, she made sure to get together with all of us for lunch. I was so thankful to have had the chance to see her again the middle of October and as always, she was very gracious, funny and delightful. We'll all miss her, but I'm glad she's in a better place with Uncle Jack, grandma and grandpa, my dad and Uncle Jay. Love to all of you, we miss you all.

A lovely generous lady. I remember her Saturday mornings at Daytons, her stories of life in Illinois and her love of family and furry friends. We are better for having known her.

I met Doris when she was living at St. Joe's Rehab Center. She was a delightful lady. When I'd stop to visit my mother (who also resides there) she'd always stop me and ask me to come and visit her too. I'd make a point to stop and visit her after that. She had a beautiful singing voice and would occasionally sing for me. She also had a wonderful sense of humor and would have me laughing on a regular basis. One day when I walked by her room I noticed her name tag was missing on the door. I asked her what happened to it? She said shhhhh don't tell anyone. I had to take it down because I'm in the witness protection program and you're the only one who knows about it now, so keep it under your hat. We both cracked up laughing. It was a delight for me to meet such a wonderful lady. She brightened my day when I'd see her there. She'd always greet me with a smile and beckon me with "come in, come in we need to talk" all the time. I missed her when the aides told me she moved Clare Bridge. I feel priviledged to have met her. Dear family of Doris, it was always my pleasure to see and assist Doris when she came in Talbots. She was a kind and generous woman. We are better for having known her.
