Obituary for Sharon "Sherry" Lynn Antony

Sharon ‘Sherry’ Lynn Antony of Bangor, Wis, died unexpectedly on October 26, 2017, at the age of 69. She was born in La Crosse on January 18, 1948 to William and Delores Hemker. Sherry lived in Bangor all of her life graduating from Bangor High School in 1966. On August 6, 1966, she married David Antony at Joseph’s Cathedral in La Crosse and just celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. Sherry will be remembered as a wonderful caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister.She worked at La Crosse Footwear for many years. Sherry was always putting others before herself and ended her career in helping the elderly as an CNA at the Villa St. Joseph's and then onto Hillview in La Crosse. Sherry enjoyed playing croquet, cards, gardening, fishing, taking walks and really enjoyed playing scrabble. Sherry is survived by her husband, David Antony; her sons, Terrence (Jana) Antony of Riverview, Fla. and Troy Antony of Bangor, Wis.; her grandson Torren Antony of Wisconsin Dells, Wis.; her sisters Ann (Dwight) Rhodes of Roscoe, Ill. and Kathy (Jerry) Sackmaster of Bangor Wis.; her sister-in-laws, Darlene Hanson of Bangor Wis., Dixie (Marvin) Niedfeldt of Racine, Wis., Patricia Antony of La Crosse, Wis. and brother-in-law, Jerry Lusk of La Crosse, Wis.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, W695 State Road 33, Middle Ridge. Msgr. Robert Hundt will concelebrate .A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. beginning with a rorsay. Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017 at Jandt-Frederickson Funeral Home, 102 Hattan Street, Bangor, Wis., and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
