Obituary for Wilma M. Meyers

Wilma Marie (Bouska) Meyers, 86, of St. Joseph Ridge, was called to her heavenly home, on August 19, 2018. She was born January 6, 1932, to Christ and Margaret (Reichenberg) Bouska in rural Bangor. In addition to her primary role as a devoted mother of 6, she was employed as a cook at the Villa St. Joseph Convent for over 35 years. Wilma took great pride in her gardens, sewing projects, and culinary delights. She is survived by her children, Joyce (Jeff) Houghtaling of Westby, Diane (John) Sesvold of Holmen, Tom (Sue) Meyers of Bangor, Bill (Julie) Meyers of Bangor , Joanne (Bruce) Cotterman of Florida, and Kathy (Brian) Block of Florida; 16 grandchildren, Jocelyn (Lee) Mlsna, Jordan Houghtaling, Christopher (Luci) Sesvold, Nicole (Eli) McDowell, Kimberly, Jeremiah and Joshua Sesvold, Matthew (Tracy) Meyers, Tony Meyers (Olga Bossert) , Emily (John) Schmitz, Ashley and Adam Meyers, Kris (Steven) Griffith, Katie Cotterman and John Michael (Alicia) Cotterman, and Halle Block; as well as 13 great-grandchildren, Claire and Myles Mlsna, Anika Sesvold, Adler and Adria McDowell, Owen Meyers, Dasha Meyers, Lydia and Kennedy Schmitz, Benjamin and William Griffith, Owen Hill-Cotterman, and John Michael Jr Cotterman. She is further survived by in-laws, Agnes Bouska, Herbert (Marie) Meyers, Rita (Roman) Kotek, Elrita Meyers, Arlene Breuer; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Anthony and Leo; and infant sister, Evelyn. The family would like to thank Wilma's special neighbors and friends for all of their assistance and loving support. They would also like to thank Gundersen Hospice for their thoughtful care. A funeral mass will be at 4 p.m., Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Middle Ridge, rural Rockland. Father Timothy Wells will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 2:30 p.m. until the time of mass, Friday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Peter’s Catholic Church at Middle Ridge or the Coulee Region Humane Society. Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, Woodruff Chapel, La Crosse, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent at
