Obituary for Barbara Ann Finn

Barbara A. Finn
Barbara A. Finn, 78, of West Salem, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30, 2011, with her husband by her side at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse.
She was born March 13, 1933, in Muscatine, Iowa, to Hollis and Corrine (Savee) Jaseph.  On June 16, 1951, she married Clifford J. "Jack" Finn at Prospect Methodist Church in Minneapolis, Minn., and they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.  Barb enjoyed doing arts and crafts and did oil painting in earlier years.  She was also a Packer fan and loved to travel with her husband in their motor home, spending winters in Arizona.  Barb was a member of the Presbyterian Church of West Salem, the Re-lax-en Campers, and the Family Motor Coach Association.  In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, she was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother who will be sadly missed.
Survivors include her loving husband, Jack; two children, Cynthia Karvel of Yuma, Ariz. and John (Pam) Finn of White Salmon, Wash.; seven grandchildren, Ryan Karvel, Thomera (Jake) Erickson, Stephanie (Tom) Newberry, and Carmen, Cade, Sam, and Sierra Finn; one great-granddaughter, Annika Erickson; one brother-in-law, Stanley Finn of Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Judy Finn of Plum City, Wis.; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clifford and Gladys Finn; and two brothers-in-law, Richard and Jerry Finn.
Memorial services for Barb are tentatively being planned for early September and will be announced by Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, (Jostad Chapel), West Salem.  In lieu flowers, the family requests memorials to the American Heart Association.  Online condolences may be sent at
