Obituary for Delores W. Nuttelman


Delores Nuttelman, 93, formerly of Barre Mills, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 30, at Onalaska Care Center. She was born to Julius and Alma (Larson) Stafslien on December 24, 1925, in the Town of Coon, Vernon County, Wisconsin. Delores married Frederick Nuttelman on August 17, 1946. Delores worked with Frederick on the family farm in Barre Mills. She enjoyed her involvement with St. John’s Lutheran Ladies’ Aid and local Homemakers groups. At one time, she was a treasurer for Lacrosse County 4-H Clubs. She worked in the electronics department at K-Mart for nine years. The two most important things in Delores’ life were her family and her Christian faith. Delores is survived by her six daughters, Diane (Ken) Batzel of Holmen, Bonita (Jerry Armstead) of Portland, Oregon, Vicki (Greg) Schwichtenberg of Henderson, Nevada, Teresa (James Seeger) of Holmen, Rhonda Rabbitt of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and Lori (David) Spencer of Minnetonka, Minnesota; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Pat Stafslien of Westby and Catherine (David) Swanson of Brooksville, Florida; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband, Frederick; brothers, Leyton and Lincoln; infant sister, Lenore; and granddaughter, Tammy Nuttelman preceded Delores in death. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Barre Mills. The Reverand Andrew Schultz will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to Alzheimer’s research. Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, Jostad Chapel, West Salem, is in charge of arrangements.
