Obituary for Judith "Judy" A. Lysaker

Judy Lysaker passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 15, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Our Mom was born on July 3, 1939 and recently celebrated her 81st birthday. She would often share with us her fond memories of growing up on French Island with her parents, Burton and Barbara (Brennan) Richardson, and her sisters and brother. Always an adventure she would say! In 1960 on St. Patrick’s Day, she met our Dad, Jack Lysaker. They were married on January 12, 1961 and together they raised 5 children. She always loved to go shopping and out to dinner with her family as well as being Grandma! She really cherished getting to spend time with all of her grandkids going to movies and other activities and no doubt would have continued to spoil her great grandkids if the time would have been afforded her. Judy was always a hit with her kid's friends too. She loved having them around and the feeling was definitely mutual! She was always part of the gang because of her awesome sense of humor! She always used to say after a fun day out "We had a ball didn't we?" We sure did Mom!!! Judy is survived by her children, Lisa (Larry) Burge, Lana Silvers (Jim Lanzel), Laura Lysaker, Frederick Lysaker and Barbara Lysaker. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jonathon Silvers (Jenna Severson), Heather Silvers, Robert Burge (Kari Heal), Joseph Burge (Callie Horstman), Bishop Lysaker, Asia Lysaker; and her great-grandchildren Liam, Garrett and Ryleigh Townsend, Jamie Burge and Sutton Silvers. Judy is also survived by her brother Larry (Rosemary) Richardson and sisters Linda Smith and Christy Howenstein and many nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John “Jack” Lysaker; an infant son, Peter Lysaker; and her sisters Sheila Myren and Loma Thomas. A private family service will take place later date in the French Island Cemetery. Jandt-Fredrckson Funeral Home, Woodruff Chapel, La Crosse is assisting the family. Online condolences may be sent at
