Obituary for Ruth Wehrenberg

Ruth Wehrenberg, 84, of West Salem died Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Franciscan Healthcare, La Crosse. She was born on May 18, 1936, to Alvin and Lillian (Brocade) Hemker. Ruth married Delvin Wehrenberg on June 15, 1957 in the Christ Lutheran Church in West Salem. She was a very loving person who always put others first. Her strong faith truly shined in everything she did. We know she is at peace in heaven with her Savior and we look forward to being reunited with her again. Ruth was an active volunteer at Good Steward & West Salem Food Pantry. She was also very active at Christ Lutheran Church, singing in the choir, helping with the church newsletter and being a member of the ladies aid. Her hobbies included knitting, sewing, reading, puzzles and bowling. She also loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her 3 children and spouses, Susan & Ken Kindt, Jean & Todd Wynia, Diane & David Weber. She is also survived by grandchildren Amber (Kindt) and Evan Londergan, Brandon Kindt and fiancé Mackenzie Bruce, Jeremy and Katy Weber, and their children Nora and Aubrey, Brianne (Weber) and Zachary Caulum. She is also survived by sisters Beverly & Wayne Keller and Mildred Hemker. Her surviving brother- and sisters-in-law are Carol Peterson, Doris Dogs, Mary Wehrenberg, Gerald Wehrenberg, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:am Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Christ Lutheran Church, West Salem. Pastor Galen Riediger will officiate. Burial will be in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery, West Salem. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 pm Monday, September 14, 2020, at Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, 121 N. Youlon Street, West Salem. Visitation will continue Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the church from 10:00 am until the time of services. In Lieu of flowers, memorials will be given to Christ Lutheran Church Ladies Aid for Luther High School student scholarships. Online condolences may be sent at
