Obituary for Jane Everitt


Jane Everitt, age 94 from West Salem, passed away at the Gunderson Lutheran Hospital on October 26, 2021 with her husband and family members at her side. She was born to Hugh and Susan Smith in Ettrick, Wis. She lived and worked in the La Crosse area all of her life and raised two children, Ron and Judy (Goodno) Emmons. Jane enjoyed working and the associations she had with co- co-workers and other people she met while at work. She finally retired at the age of 91 while working as “Grandma Jane” the breadstick lady at Fazoli’s Restaurant. She married Bob Everitt on July 14, 2007. They enjoyed dancing, going out to eat, visiting with family and friends and putting hundreds of puzzles together. She is survived by her husband Bob, son-in-law Bob Goodno, grandchildren Kim Seiler, Troy (Sarah) Goodno, Ryan Emmons, great grandchildren Kyle (Katie) Goodno, Alyssa Seiler, Kylie-Alexis-Myles Goodno and great great granddaughter Aspen Hamby, Ron’s longtime partner Janet Thompson and other niece’s and nephew’s. She was preceded in death by husband Donald Larson, children Ron Emmons and Judy Goodno; sisters, Geraldine Hamilton, Jean Lange, and Sara Pfaff; brother, Arnold Smith. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 at the Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, Woodruff Chapel, La Crosse (4239 Mormon Coulee Rd.). Pastor Alyssa Mitchell will officiate. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be held at a later date.
