Violet H. Kunert, 86, of Mormon Coulee, rural La Crosse, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 31, 2011, at her home.
She was born September 6, 1925, in Dakota, Minn., to Bert and Maud (Snider) Trocinski. On February 27, 1942, Violet married the love of her life, Albert Kunert and they shared 68 years of marriage. Violet was a wonderful homemaker who babysat for numerous area families and was lovingly called "Grandma" by many children. She was known for her delicious O'Henry bars and for spending her summers growing and selling raspberries from her treasured raspberry patch. Violet will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
