Obituary for Donna J. Tucker

Donna J. Tucker, 82, of La Crosse, died Friday, December 16, 2011, at Hillview Health Care Center, La Crosse.
Donna was born November 13, 1929, in La Crosse to William and Selma (Brommer) Schorch.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in La Crosse.  Donna was a 1947 graduate of Central High School in La Crosse.  She married Richard Tucker and they resided in Memphis, Tenn.  Donna was employed as a secretary and bookkeeper at the Memphis Opera Theater and Arts Council.  In 1977, she and her husband moved back to La Crosse.  Donna enjoyed the performing arts and was a beautiful singer.  She will be remembered for her irreverent and salty sense of humor as well as enjoying a restorative cocktail.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean (Eric Larson) Tucker of Waite Park, Minn. and Rachel (John) Clarkin of Anoka, Minn.; one granddaughter, Erin Clarkin of Anoka, Minn.; one aunt, Anga Lukas of Minneapolis, Minn.; two nieces, Cornelia (Mike) Shannon of Hutchinson, Kansas and Virginia (Randy) Lambeth of Mobile, Ala.; and numerous cousins and other relatives.  She was preceded in death by her parents; three nieces, Caroline Tucker, Florence Upton, and Mary Beth Tucker; one nephew, Neil Tucker; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Otis and Mary Tucker.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lyster Lutheran Church, CTHs D & F, Nelson, Wis.  Rev. Mike Vetsch and Father Patrick Augustine will officiate.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.  Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, (Woodruff Chapel), La Crosse, is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be sent at
