Obituary for Patricia A. Falk

Patricia Anne Falk (nee Dale), resident of La Crosse since 1967, died at 3:55 a.m. on December 24, 2012, at the Bethany-St. Joseph Care Center in La Crosse, Wis.
She was born on March 7, 1937, in Craik, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Dave and Bertha (Lee) Dale. Patricia was married on October 8, 1960, to George L. Falk in Calgary Alberta, Canada, and they were divorced in 1980. After earning her BSN in Nursing at the University of Saskatoon in Saskatchewan, Pat spent her entire life taking care of others as a nurse first in Calgary, Alberta, then in Norman, Oklahoma; and for the rest of her career at Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse. She also briefly taught nursing students at Viterbo University in La Crosse. In addition to her 40-year nursing career, Pat had a life-long interest in genealogy which she shared with her brother and sister traveling around the U.S. and to Scotland tracing ancestors.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Brenda Dale Falk (Oscar Cruz) and granddaughter Victoria Cruz-Falk, both of Rockville, Maryland; her son, David George Falk (Kathy) of Mazomanie, Wis.; her brother, James Douglas Dale of Craik; her sister, Margaret Osmond of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and many nieces and nephews.
A summer memorial service is planned for Craik, Saskatchewan, Canada, where her ashes will be laid to rest along with her beloved parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice in Patricia’s name. Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, (Woodruff Chapel), La Crosse, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent at
