Condolences for Dr. George P. Gersch

I have many fond memories of Dr. Gersch. I very much appreciated his Bedside manor, and the caring way he took care of me and my family over the years. I am very sorry for your family's loss.

I saw Dr. Gersch in Urgent Care at Mayo in the late 90s.I was suffering from burning headaches and it was difficult for me to climb stairs. I had been to several doctors including specialists who could not diagnose my problem. As soon as I described my symptoms to Dr. Gersch, he ordered a C-reactive protein test and prescribed prednisone. This solved my problem which has not returned. I would have liked to have Dr. Gersch as my fmily doctor. My husband and I have talked about him many times since then.

It was my privilege to work along side Dr. Gersch at St.Francis Hospital. I remember Dr. Gersch as a very gentle person who wanted the best for his patients. Since he was a family practitioner, those patients extended from moms and babes in delivery to the elderly, which is where I usually practiced. I had hoped to extend my condolences in person but I had a conflict this morning. Do know that I will remember Dr.Gersch and his family in prayer at our Chapel of Adoration. Sincerely, Sister Marie Kyle

My sincerest condolences to your family. Dr. Gersch was my physician for many years while i still lived at home with my parents and after I was married and started my own family. He delivered my middle daughter now 38 years old, and my youngest daughter that passed away in 1997 at the age of 10, nearly 11. I am flooded with so many memories as I'm writing. With sympathies to the Gersch family. Patricia (Wesoloski) Osley

my name is Ron Berg, currently live in Westminster SC. I keep up with "home" via LaCrosse Tribune. I remember Dr Giersch from being his 1st patient at the West Salem Clinic. I had cut my leg on something swimming in a creek, and my Mom ( Marion Berg - Barre Mills ) took me to the clinic, but was closed. She broke a window to gain access to the clinic, found a New Dr name and # and called him...it was Dr Gersch. I was only 8 yrs old at the time, and my Mom left us little over 3 yrs ago...but I DO remember that day..and have the scar to prove it. My sincere condolences to his family, but wanted to pass this along in his honor and memory. God speed Dr Gersch..and Thank You
