Obituary for Elreda A. Meyer

Elreda A. Meyer, 90, of West Salem and formerly of Middle Ridge passed away with her children at her side Monday, November 16, 2020 at her home. She was born January 24, 1930 in rural La Crosse Co. to William and Mayme (Burbach) Arentz. She married Herbert J. Meyer on June 8, 1954. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2006. Elreda was a member of Church of St. Peter Catholic Church, she also took special care of the flowers in the cemetery while living in Middle Ridge. She would go up to water her flowers and also water any others that looked like they needed water. She loved to play euchre she was a regular at West View on Tuesday nights or anywhere she could talk 3 others into a game. She loved to take the bus to the casino's with her sister, or just to go visit with friends and family. Elreda is survived by her son, Mike (Joan) Meyer of Bangor, and their children; Christopher (Denise) Meyer, Nick (Sierra) Meyer and Danica Meyer; great-grandchildren; Alex, Tyler, Derek, Talan and Everly, her daughter Julie (Mark) Miller and their children; Andrea (Kris) Crosby, Bradley (Dani) Miller, great-grandchildren; Kristopher, Aiden, Kayson, Remlee and Briggs, son-in-law Roger Johnson and children; Troy (Beth) Johnson, Jeremy (Nicole) Johnson and great-grandchildren Paige, Sophia and Gabriella, and her sister Florance Schaller. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mayme Arentz, daughter Vickie Johnson,two brothers and their spouses Arnold (Theresa) Arentz & Robert (Arlene) Arentz , brother in law Al Schaller, two sister in laws Mary(Jack) Altman and Kathern (Marlin) Kirchner. Mass of Christian Burial will be private and held at the Church of St. Peter Catholic Church, Middle Ridge. Father Biju Kunjukutty will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to Sunshine on the Trail or Church of St. Peter Catholic Church-Middle Ridge.
