She was raised by maternal grandparents William and Anna Miller. She graduated from Logan High School. She was married to Thomas Loughan from 1969 until his death in 1972. They had one daughter, Sherry (Loughan) Taylor. Carol married Denny Suntken and they were later divorced. She married Steve Clark and they celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary on May 20th, 2021. Carol started working as a teenager washing dishes and waiting tables and was employed throughout her life in variety of jobs, always taking care of others. She worked at a preschool, as a home health care aid, in assisted living and in memory care facilities. She retired after working as a school bus attendant for special needs children. Carol loved all animals and was fondly known as “The Cat Lady” by her friends and family. She enjoyed feeding the neighborhood cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, squirrels, and the occasional opossum; they knew where the best buffet was. She loved to read whether it be a book from her collection, on her iPad or a newspaper and had a wide variety of interests including super hero movies, British comedies, historical and 3D movies. She became savvy with the internet and enjoyed exploring the world using Google Earth. She always rooted for the Green Bay Packers. She was very involved with her family and always attended her granddaughters’ school, church and sports activities. She was a great cook and always made her family’s favorite treats including German potato salad, fruit pizza, 3 bean casserole, and her famous ham gravy on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Carol loved to listen to music (especially 80’s pop music), enjoyed dark chocolate M&M’s, Diet Coke, and candy from The Sweet Shop. She had an accessory for every occasion including light up Christmas earrings, fuzzy cat socks, funny shirts, Green Bay Packer gear, and homemade apparel designed by her granddaughters. Carol always had a positive attitude and could make a friend anywhere she went. She rooted for the underdog, was genuinely happy for others good fortune, and just wanted people to be kind to each other. Carol is survived by her husband Steve Clark, her daughter Sherry (Jeff) Taylor, Granddaughters Brittany and Becca Taylor (fiancé Elias De Haro).
