As a member of Christ Lutheran Church in West Salem, she assisted with various church activities, including teaching Sunday School, playing handbells, attending bible study. She watched children and grandchildren grow physically, musically, academically, and spiritually. She traveled to visit new places and meet family who moved to far away states and countries, while at home hosted a constant flow of visiting family members.
