Condolences for Sylvia H. Uber

Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family in the loss of your wonderful mother, Sylvia. I fondly remember in a visit with her after my mom passed, that she mentioned sadly that she was now one of the only remaining members of that original card club. I always loved when my parents hosted and I was able to partake in the appetizers and grasshoppers! Virgin for me, of course! My brothers and I were so thankful for the decades long friendship that our moms shared, especially after our dad passed away and all of us living out of state. Sylvia was a wonderful source of comfort for Mom, enjoying the trips to the theater and many lunch and dinner dates together. I will miss the annual Christmas card and family update from the cat each year! Her impact and dedication to the community of West Salem will continue to be felt for generations to come.
