Obituary for Patricia Wiebke

Patricia Joann Wiebke, of Caledonia, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Lake Winona Manor in Winona. Patty was born June 2, 1932, in Elma, Iowa, to Lloyd and Ella (Bruger) Grover. Patty graduated from Harmony, Minn. High School. She was united in marriage to Delone Wiebke on April 25, 1953. Patty was a homemaker and a record keeper for Wiebke Livestock and Trucking. Patty loved her cats, was a devoted Packer fan, and enjoyed her time with the Red Hatters while she lived in Caledonia. As a resident of Lake Winona Manor, from December 2014 to present, she enjoyed completing word puzzles, watching westerns and embracing the view from her window… Sugarloaf, Lake Winona, the activity at her bird feeders, the squirrels, ducks, and geese. It truly became her sanctuary. We enjoyed listening to her childhood memories of her yodeling talent and trick-riding horses at a hometown rodeo. Patty is survived by her children, Linda (Tony) Cox of Juneau, Wis., Joni (Kurt) Lossen of Winona, Minn., Gale (Thyron) Wilking of Cleveland, Minn., and Dale Wiebke of Rochester, Minn.; her grandchildren, Shannon, Nick, Joe, Lucas, Ashley, Kelly, Tony, Brad, Derek, Taylor and Tiana; and her great grandchildren, Chandler, Evie, Josie, Morgan, Addie, Carter, Corbin, and Owen. Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Delone; her parents; and her sisters, Charlotte and Gladys. We will never forget Patty’s strong will, her sense of humor, and the love she had for her family. A celebration of Patty’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Caledonia. Rev. Steven E. Meyer will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 10:00 until the time of service Thursday at the church. Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, Caledonia Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
