Marie H. "Ree" Iverson
Marie H. "Ree" Iverson, 77, of Onalaska, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Bethany-St. Joseph Care Center, La Crosse.
She was born May 13, 1934, in La Crosse to Otto and Ethel (Peterson) Lehmann.  On September 5, 1953, she married Darrell Iverson with whom she spent 55 wonderful years before he preceded her in death on June 13, 2009.  Together they had two children, Daniel and Susan Iverson.  Ree had a love for life and for everyone she met.  She enjoyed giving to others and spent several years volunteering.  Through the years, Ree enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, and time spent with family and dear friends.  Her family and friends were always very important to her.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Daniel) Puent of Bangor; four grandchildren, Jeff Iverson of Phoenix, Ariz., James Puent of Holmen, Katie Puent of West Salem, and Ashley Puent of La Crosse; one great-granddaughter, Hailey Puent; one sister, Eleanor (Charles) Huber of Elmhurst, Ill.; five nieces; one nephew; and other relatives.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, David; her son, Daniel; and her granddaughter, Sonja.
In accordance with Ree's wishes, her body will be cremated and memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at First Ev. Lutheran Church, 400 West Ave. So., La Crosse.  Rev. Richard T. Pamperin will officiate.  A private family burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, La Crosse.  Friends may call at First Ev. Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to First Ev. Lutheran Church, La Crosse.  Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, (Jostad Chapel), West Salem, is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be sent at
